The original building seems to date back to the XII; in a fresco the date of 1372 is marked, which could confirm the construction of the current church around the middle of the 14th century, which was followed by subsequent restorations and documented modifications between the end of the 1400s and the beginning of the 1500s. The exterior is characterized by the beveling of the north-west corner, where a grandiose Renaissance-style portal opens. The bell tower, in masonry with an eighteenth-century onion roof, rises in the south-west corner.
